How to Enjoy HEJI Rituals Leaf Incense
Our sculpted leaf incense is designed to be both a visual object and a quiet ritual.
Please follow the instructions below to enjoy a safe and beautiful burning experience.
1. Before You Start
-
Place the non-flammable felt mat on a heat-resistant, stable surface.
-
Make sure the area is well-ventilated, away from strong drafts and air-conditioning.
-
Keep away from curtains, papers, loose fabrics, and anything that can easily catch fire.
-
Never leave burning incense unattended or within reach of children and pets.
2. How to Light the Leaf Incense
-
Gently place one leaf incense on the felt mat, with the tip facing outward.
-
Use a lighter or match to ignite the very edge of the leaf tip.
-
Let the flame burn for a few seconds, then gently blow it out.
-
A thin, steady line of smoke should appear, and the ember will slowly travel along the leaf.
3. During Burning
-
Do not move the burning leaf or the tray while it is lit.
-
Avoid touching the leaf, tray, or felt mat – they can become hot.
-
Enjoy the scent from a comfortable distance; there is no need to lean too close.
-
Open a window slightly if you prefer a lighter, more diffused aroma.
4. After the Ritual
-
Allow the ash to cool completely before touching or cleaning.
-
Carefully lift the cooled ash together with the felt or use a soft brush to remove it.
-
Dispose of the ash in a non-flammable bin – never throw hot ash into the trash.
-
Store unused leaves in their original packaging, away from humidity and direct sunlight.
5. Safety Notes
-
For indoor use only on a fire-safe surface.
-
Do not burn for extended periods in small, unventilated spaces.
-
People who are sensitive to smoke or fragrance should use with caution.
-
If irritation occurs, extinguish immediately and ventilate the room.
6. How to Use Without Burning
You can also enjoy HEJI Rituals leaf incense as:
-
A drawer or wardrobe scent, placed on a small tray.
-
A desk or bedside object, subtly perfuming the surrounding air.
-
A seasonal decoration on branches, Christmas trees, or gift wrapping (unlit).
Even unburned, each leaf holds a gentle fragrance that complements your daily space rituals.
